All the cubs are about a year-old, and two of them are male, Rajnish Kumar, member of the managing committee of TSZS, said here.
He said arrangements have been made and the cubs are scheduled to arrive at Kolkata Airport on June 21 from where they will be transported by road to Tata Zoo.
The cubs will reach TSZS on June 22.
In the zoo, the cubs will be kept under quarantine for a period of 30 days, which is mandatory under the Government of India rules, before they are released for exhibition.
The proposal to translocate the cubs was taken by NZG after a team comprising of Abeeda Dawood, Conservation Manager, and Eugene Marais, General Curator of the Zoo, visited Tata Zoo in October last.
The team was highly impressed by the standards of animal care and technical capabilities at Tata Zoo, which led to acceptance of the proposal, Kumar said.
