The Nagaland Staff Nurses Association (NSNA) today started their first phase of agitation against non-fulfillment of demands by the state government.

The first phase in the form of wearing black badges would continue for three days without affecting any services, followed by three days mass casual leave of the assocation members from June 29, said NSNA president Catherine.

The Association maintained it was fully aware that public, specially the poor patients, would face difficult times, but they were painfully compelled to take the step.

The association lamented that despite assurances by the Nagaland government, the association's demands have not met with any positive response.

The NSNA alleged promotional avenues and other benefits were being given only to a particular section of employees on the pretext of higher qualification and not on practical experience for nearly 28 years.
