Congress' students wing NSUI today presented 'Priyadarshini Excellence Awards' to female achievers of Delhi University and also felicitated an acid attack survivor to mark International Women's Day.
Congress leader Sharmistha Mukherjee, Member of Parliament Sushmita Dev, and sportsperson Varuni Negi were present on the occasion where awards were given in six categories that included areas of academics, sports, leadership, co-curricular, NCC and NSS.
Handing over the awards, NSUI national president Roji M John said, "Today's women have brought laurels in various fields through representing her college, university, state and even the country at large. We believe in recognising her valuable contribution towards the society.
