NTPC aims to generate 268 BUs electricity this fiscal

State-run power giant NTPC targets a revenue of Rs 85,500 crore from operations and generation of 268 billion units of electricity in the current fiscal, according to an MoU signed by the PSU with the Power Ministry.

NTPC is aiming at generating 268 billion units (BU) of electricity during the fiscal year 2018-19, under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between NTPC and Ministry of Power today in New Delhi, a company statement said.

Revenue from operations is targeted at Rs 85,500 crore. Parameters related to financial performance, improvement in operational efficiency, capital expenditure, projects monitoring, technology upgradation and HR Management are also part of the MOU for the year 2018-19.

 

The company has a total installed capacity of 53,651 MW from its 21 coal-based, 7 gas-based, 11 solar PV, 1 hydro, 1 small hydro, 1 wind and 9 subsidiaries / joint venture power stations.

NTPC is currently building an additional capacity of over 21,000 MW at multiple locations across the country.
