State-owned NTPC Limited today said it has appointed K Ram Chandra Murty its Regional Executive Director (South).
According to a statement issued by the power producer, prior to joining at southern region headquarters, Murty worked as executive director for three large power plants of Singrauli (2,000 MW), Rihand (3,000 MW) and Vindhyachal (4,760 MW), which is NTPC's largest super thermal power station.
A mechanical engineer from Ravishankar University, Raipur, Murty had joined NTPC in 1980 as an executive engineering trainee.
He held several important positions in a career span of over three and half decades and worked at various NTPC stations such as Badarpur, Auraiya, Noida, Durgapur, Talcher Thermal, Singrauli, Rihand, and Vindhyachal, it said.
