India's nuclear collaboration with Canada has proved mutually beneficial for the two countries and is bound to grow further in the years to come, Union minister Jitendra Singh said today.

"There has been a consistent, comfortable and compatible relationship between India and Canada, as a result of which, even today, a large number of youth migrating overseas from India, prefer to choose Canada as their destination," a statement from the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) quoted Singh as saying.

Canadian High Commissioner to India Nadir Patel, who called on Singh today, briefed him about the current status of collaboration between India and Canada in nuclear science/power and other areas of bilateral interest.

Patel and Singh also held discussion on the schedule of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's proposed visit to the country later this year.
