Nucleus Software shares jump 10% on smart Q4 show

Shares of IT firm Nucleus Software today surged 10 per cent after the company reported over 57 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31.

The stock zoomed 9.58 per cent to settle at Rs 311.20 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 16 per cent to Rs 329.50 -- its 52-week high.

At NSE, shares of the company soared 10 per cent to close at Rs 312.70.

The company's market valuation rose by Rs 88.78 crore to Rs 1,007.78 crore.

In terms of volume, 3.64 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 21 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
 

Nucleus Software yesterday reported over 57 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 22.26 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31.

The Noida-headquartered company had posted a net profit of Rs 14.12 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing.

The company's consolidated total income grew marginally per cent to Rs 93.69 crore during the January-March quarter of 2016-17 against Rs 92.73 crore in the year-ago period.

For the entire 2016-17 fiscal, Nucleus' consolidated net profit almost doubled to Rs 62.69 crore, while consolidated total income rose 6.7 per cent to Rs 372.39 crore.
