Numaligarh Refinery pays second interim dividend to Assam govt

Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) has presented the second interim dividend of Rs 99.90 crore for the year 2017-18 to the Assam government.

The state government has an equity holding of 12.35 per cent in the company.

A cheque was handed over to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal by NRL Managing Director S K Barua here yesterday, a NRL release said today.

With this, an amount of Rs 145.31 crore has been paid as interim dividend by NRL to the state government for the current fiscal 2017-18.

The first interim dividend of Rs 45.41 crore was handed over in December, 2017.
 

The interim dividend has been worked out based on the performance of the company during the first nine months of 2017-18, the release added.
