NW monsoon: Collector seeks cooperation of paramilitary forces

The district administration today appealed to the paramilitary forces to create and keep on standby special rescue teams to meet any exigency in the wake of North West Monsoon.

In a meeting with senior officials of RAF, CRPF, Coast Guard and 110 Battalion, the District Collector, T N Hariharan sought their cooperation during any rain-related disaster and assistance in rescue operations in the district.

Hariharan asked the forces to keep ready special rescue teams.

Earlier, the administration had held discussions with various departments, including PWD, Revenue, Electricity Board, Education and NGOs.

DCP Lakshmi, RPF Deputy Commandant, Jaffer, CRPF Commandant Sanjay Singh, Captain Ayuthakumar of Coast Guard and 110 Bn Col.Sandeep Jadav participated in the meeting.
