North Western Railways today cancelled five passengers' trains on Suratgarh-Punjab routes as a preventive measure in wake of farmers' agitation between Dabwali-Bagwali section, an official said here.
Five trains have been cancelled on Suratgarh-Punjab rail sections and 11 others were partially cancelled or diverted, NWR DGM and CPRO Tarun Jain said in a statement here.
Amritsar-Sadulpur train was cancelled yesterday, while four other trains; Suratgarh-Bhatinda (both ways), Suratgarh- Ambala, and Sadulpur-Ludhina trains cancelled for today, he said.

Eleven passengers trains, including Ferozepur-Ganganagar (both ways), Fajalika-Rewari (both ways), have been either partially cancelled or diverted for today, he said.
Bhiwani-Rewari train was delayed by two hours and 25 minutes this morning, Jain said.
NWR advised passengers to check trains' arrival and departure timings before planning their journey, he said.
