Officer-in-charge of Gamariah police station in Seraikela-Kharswan district of Jharkahand has been suspended on the charges of alleged sexual exploitation of a woman constable of the same police station.
"The officer-in-charge R N Choudhury was suspended on the directive of Superintendent of Police, Madan Mohan Lal, and an investigation has begun into the allegations levelled by the victim constable," Deputy Superintendent of Police, Satyanarayan Rajak said.
The victim alleged that the officer-in-charge has been exploiting her sexually for the past several months and rejected her marriage proposal, he said.
