The monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly which commences tomorrow is likely to be stormy as both the ruling BJD and opposition Congress and BJP have prepared their strategies on several issues.

While the ruling party has decided to raise Mahanadi water issue, impact of demonetisation and inflation, the opposition BJP has been ready with several issues including suicide of farmer's in the state.

Besides, party legislators will rake up issues of drinking water scarcity and the BJD's alleged failure to tackle drought situation, BJP state president Basant Panda said.

Similarly, Congress has also planned to launch attack both of the BJD and the BJP. "We'll raise the issue like how the Modi government has failed to provide employment to the people and its failure to bring back black money stashed abroad," said leader of opposition Narasingha Mishra of Congress.

Mishra also criticised the state government and accused it of failing in all sectors.

BJD spokesman and government chief whip Amar Prasad satpathy said the ruling party was ready for discussion on any subject.

The monsoon session will continue till September 16.
