Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated 34 roadside amenity centres via a video conference here.
The wayside amenity centres, along the national highways, state highways and other major roads, would be of help to tourists as well as local people, Patnaik said.
Constructed at Rs 1.10 crore each, the amenity centers will provide basic facilities such as food, drinking water, rest room and car parking, he said.
Stating that the works department would look after the maintenance of the centres, Patnaik said the government plans to construct more such plazas in future.
