Odisha govt eyes Rs 1.75 lakh crore investments in 4 yrs

The Odisha government is considering measures for branding Odisha as an investment destination and aiming investments worth Rs 1.75 lakh crore within four years in the state.

Chief Secretary G C Pati said that investor perception about Odisha is crucial for bringing investment to the state.

The state is projected to attract Rs 1.75 lakh crore worth of investment in next four years.

"Along with communicating on opportunities and potentialities available here to the world outside, we have to implement our progressive policies in a team spirit," Pati said.

Pati emphasised on implementation of the IPR-2015 with team spirit which would further improve the rank of Odisha in the 'ease of doing business' and will have great positive impact on the investor's perception.
 

"Various formulations were carved out for setting the vision and to brand Odisha as an investment destination," said a senior official.

It has been decided to share information with a larger professional group and also invite suggestions from people before finalising the vision and the brand, he added.
