Odisha government is all set to focus on mobilisation of more private sector funds for development of infrastructure.
"I suggest the PPP cell to focus on mobilisation of more private sector funds through PPP projects in infrastructure and service delivery fronts," Chief Secretary A P Padhi said while attending the Odisha PPP Technical Society meeting held under the chairmanship of minister for Planning and Convergence Usha Devi.

"It has been decided to create a research unit-cum-data bank to identify innovative projects and to assist different departments in preparation of pre-feasibility reports as well as project reports," Padhi said.
Officials said so far 73 projects have been grounded in the state and 10 other projects are in pipeline. Out of these 73 projects, 44 have been made operational and 29 are in various stages of construction.
The PPP cell has last year institutionalised a qualitative monitoring framework and improved contract award and management process.
There has been enhancement in the quality of designing and roll out of PPP projects in different sectors, they said.
