Faced with inadequate funding, Odisha government today asked different departments to focus on projects in non-plan sector, official sources said.
A decision in this regard was taken at a high-level meeting presided over by Chief Secretary J K Mohapatra who outlined the broad areas for formulation of projects and schemes to seek State specific grants from the 14th Finance Commission.
"Mohapatra asked different departments and issued guidelines to focus on non-plan areas for which generally plan funding is low or inadequate," a senior finance department official said.
