Lawyers across Odisha today abstained from courts, including the High Court here, in show of protest against last week's killing of a lawyer by police inside a court of Allahabad.
This is the second day that lawyers in Odisha abstained from court work for the Allahabad incident.
While the Odisha lawyers stayed away from courts in accordance to an appeal made by Bar Council of India, the lawyers had also abstained from courts on last Friday after an appeal made by Bar Council of Odisha.
Demanding sufficient compensation to the family of the slain advocate, the Odisha lawyers called for exemplary punishment to the culprit.
