Odisha Finance Minister S B Behera today laid the supplementary statement of expenditure worth Rs 9,828.57 crore for 2017-18 in the Assembly.
With this, the size of the budget for the 2017-18 fiscal increased to 1,16,739.44 crore. Earlier, the original budget of Rs 1,06,910.87 crore was passed in the assembly.
On financing of the supplementary budget, Behera said the provision of Rs 9,828.57 crore is to be financed by tied up resources to the extent of Rs 3,907.28 crore and untied resources to the extent of Rs 3,300 crore.
Besides, surrender of provision in grants and appropriations to the extent of Rs 1,216 crore and Rs 1,405.28 crore from overall savings and surrender towards the end of the financial year would also be used.
