Odisha's new Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra today said his priority is growth of ancillary industries besides implementation of major and medium projects within a stipulated time frame.
"I feel growth of ancillary industries can provide more employment to youths in the state," Mishra said while reviewing activities of the industries department and added he had asked officials to prepare a road-map for creating employment opportunities for youths in industrial sector.
Stating he would put all efforts to maintain the state's industrial growth rate, Mishra said "Discussions were held on how to make the 2007 industrial policy more progressive."
Establishment of new industrial parks and estates, expansion of existing ones, growth of film industries and development of agriculture, mineral, tourism, Information Technology industries were also in the agenda, Mishra added.
