Odisha to honour successful officials

In a bid to enourage employees of state run corporations in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced that successful officials would be bestowed with honours and prizes.

Stating that the honours and prizes would be given in seven different categories, Patnaik said the best chairman-cum -managing director (CMD), managing director (MD), company secretary, director finance, HRD, officer dedicated to preserve properties of corporations and innovative idea that helps business growth of corporation would be felicitated by the state government.

This apart, the best employee from the corporations would also be honoured at a special function to be held in April every year.
 

While the best CMD and MD would be given Rs 50,000 cash prize besides citation, the best company secretary, finance director and HRD officer would get Rs 25,000.

The employees recognised for their service in preserving corporation properties and best employee would be given Rs 10,000 each as cash prize besides citation, an official said.
