Keeping in view the 100 years of Odisha's formation as a separate state, the government today started deliberations to formulate the Vision Document for 2036.
The discussion on the Vision Document was held at a meeting presided over by Chief Secretary A P Padhi where chairman of Odisha Skill Development Authority Subrato Bagchi was invited as a resource person.
"The Vision Document should be based on the realistic assessment of the state's needs for future and service delivery at ground level," Padhi said while Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan emphasised that the document should be a powerful instrument to shape the future of the state.

"Today's meeting aimed at exploring various facets of the document from the perspectives of making Odisha a leading prosperous state. The departments were advised to articulate strategies for Vision 2036 for further deliberation. It was decided to draft the vision document within three months," Padhi told reporters.
Goals like shared prosperity, equitable distribution of the developmental outcomes, social justice, occupational dignity, inclusive growth in line with the ideals of Swaraj and Sarvodaya were suggested in the meeting.
