The Odisha government would provide all support for the year-long celebration of Mahatma Gandhis 150th birth anniversary beginning from October 2, 2018.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik assured a delegation of the Gandhians led by Gandhi Peace Foundation (GPF) Chairman Kumar Prashant.
Patnaik had met the delegation yesterday.
On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhis 150th birth anniversary, a vehicle carrying Gandhijis portrait will visit all the blocks of the state. Odia translation of books which have the articles and write-ups of Gandhiji, will also be distributed among students.
Kumar Prashant also urged Patnaik to facilitate setting up of an office of the Gandhi Peace Foundation in the state.

Prominent Gandhian Krishna Mohanty drew attention of the chief minister to the problems of the Baji Rout Hostel, Angul.
On this occasion, Naveen released the Odia version of a book on Gandhijis life.
Among others, GPF member Birupakhya Tripathy, Mihir Pratap Das, Biswajit Ray and Manoranjan Mohanty were present during the meeting.
