Officer arrested on bribery charges in Rajasthan

The Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrested an officer of Social Security department for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a client for giving him relief from payment of penalty of Rs 1.5 lakh.

One Bharat Bhuriya of Vidhya Sagar Bal Mandir in Pali district complained that Social Security Officer R K Jain had demanded bribe of Rs 20,000 to waive or reduce the penalty of Rs 1.5 lakh on his ESI matter, an ACB spokesperson said.

While Jain was receiving an advance of Rs 15,000, he was arrested here, the spokesperson said.

A case under Prevention of Corruption Act was lodged against him.
