The Command and Control Centre, established by the Telangana government to check irregularities in distribution of rice and other items to fair price shops, came under praise from a Central official today.
Union Joint Secretary (Food and PDS) Deepak Kumar, who was briefed on the functioning of the Centre, appreciated the efforts to check diversion and other irregularities in the distribution of items, a state government release said here.
The official was told about monitoring of movement of stocks right from godown to fair price shop and installation of GPS devices in all transport vehicles and also CCTVs at different places, the release added.
