Officials arrested on graft charges in Rajasthan

Two government officials were today arrested for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 from a contractor here, police said.

Jitendra Singh, Secretary, Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti of the Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board and Jagdish Bhadra, clerk at the Samiti were arrested for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a contractor for passing bills, they said.

According to Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sources, a proper verification of the complaint by the contractor was done.

A trap was laid and the accused men were arrested while accepting the bribe, the source said.
