The warning was issued by Delhi Education Minister Kiran Walia in a meeting she had with senior officials of PWD and DSIIDC (Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation) -- the two agencies responsible for maintenance of school buildings.
The Minister issued direction to both the agencies to complete upgradation and repair work in school buildings within two months time.
"If the desired work is not completed within the time limit then disciplinary action will be taken against the erring officials and penalty will be imposed on the contractors," officials said.
Education department is carrying out repair and expansion of buildings of government-run schools under the Ropantar" scheme.
