The Odisha Human Rights Commission today directed the Deputy Inspector General of Police of South Western Range to probe the death of three persons allegedly in firing by security personnel during an anti-Maoist operation in Kalahandi district yesterday.
"The commission today issued the direction to the DIG and asked him to investigate into the causes of deaths of three persons and injury of two others," an OHRC official told PTI.
The OHRC gave this direction after admitting a petition from human rights activists and asked the DIG to submit a report to it within four weeks.
