Oil factory gutted in fire

A oil manufacturing unit

located in the Palasa industrial estate in Srikakulam district was gutted in fire today, police said.

However, nobody was injured in the mishap.

The blaze started at around 2 pm engulfed Kakumanu Ramu factory, which manufactures oil from cashew shells.

According to sources, property worth about Rs 20 lakh was destroyed in the incident.

Two fire tenders brought the blaze under control.
