Oils trade sluggish on lower demand

Refined palmolein also fell further owing to lack of retail buying support on the back bearish Malaysian cues.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial also declined due to reduced demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

Linseed oil went down on poor demand from paint and allied industries.

In futures, castorseeds slumped on selling pressure on weak export enquiries.

In the edible segment, Groundnut oil dipped by Rs 30 per 10kg to Rs 1,000 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,030. Refined palmolein slipped by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 503 as against Rs 524 previously.

 

Turning to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold moved down by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,350 from Rs 3,400 and castoroil commercial also went down by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 700 as compared to 710 previously. Linseed oil eased by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 790 from Rs 795.

Moving to futures, castorseed December contract resumed lower at Rs 3,690 and drifted further to close at Rs 3,592 as compared to to Rs 3,706 previously, showing a net fall of Rs 114 per tonne.
