Omar condemns militant attack on BSF convoy

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has condemned today's militant attack on a BSF convoy in the outskirts of the city, in which a constable was killed and two others sustained injuries.

In his message, the Chief Minister expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.

In the second attack on security personnel in as many weeks, the ultras ambushed the personnel belonging to 8th Battalion near Chanapora bridge this morning, resulting in injuries to three constables, police said.

The personnel were admitted to 92 Base Hospital of the Army at Badamibagh cantonment, where constable Kalita succumbed to injures as a bullet had pierced through his ear into his head.
