It will enable smooth supply of electricity and distribution in Ladakh region, he said at a meeting with Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) Chairman R N Nayak, an official spokesman said.
Nayak apprised the Chief Minister of the status of various works being executed by PGCIL in the state, he said.
Omar also stressed the need for targeted completion of the Industrial Training Institutes being established by PGCIL at Ganderbal and Jammu.
Nayak assured the Chief Minister that PGCIL would take all steps aimed at completion of the projects within the time frame, he added.
