Raking up the 2011 cross-voting episode, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today hit out at BJP MLAs saying they will deceive their party and the people again if they win in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
Omar said this in reaction to protest staged by BJP MLAs led by Legislative party leader Ashok Khajuria during a function of power department here.
"If they (BJP MLAs) will win again...They will again bargain....They will take votes in the names of BJP and they are expected to deceive their party again during the polling of Legislative Council and Rajya Sabha," he said.

In 2011 Legislative Council elections, seven out of 11 BJP legislators voted for the candidates of National Conference-Congress alliance which won five out of the six seats for which elections were held and the lone BJP candidate Ranjit Singh polled only four votes.
Subsequently, these BJP MLAs were suspended and later expelled by the party. However, in March this year, six of them expect one Chaman Lal Gupta were taken back by the BJP.
