Omar inspects construction of new Legislative complex in Jammu

The chief minister visited the site and took stock of the progress of work on the project, handed over to the Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation.

The Speaker of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone, minister for Law Ali Mohammad Sagar, minister of state for Home Nasir Aslam Wani and other officials accompanied the chief minister during the visit.

Managing Director of JKPCC, M M Gupta presented resume of the work schedule and explained construction details to the chief minister.

Gupta said the state-of-art legislature complex will accommodate both the houses, their secretariats besides having adequate press, official and public galleries. He said there will be a central hall and various lobbies available in the complex.

 

He said there will be provision for two basement floors for parking and services, adding that the complex would be equipped with modern escalators and lifts.
