The amount will be placed in fixed deposit of Rs one lakh each for the five babies, an official spokesman said.
Afroza of Larkipora village of Budgam district gave birth to quintuplets at Lal Ded Hospital yesterday.
The Chief Minister also directed Minister of State for Health Javaid Ahmed Dar to visit Lal Ded Hospital and enquire about the health of the mother and the babies.
