A galaxy of ministers led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar celebrated the 74th birthday of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, at a rally held here today.
Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil, Public Works Department Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Tribal Development Minister Madhukar Pichad, Water Resources Minister Sunil Tatkare as well as Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anil Deshmukh, besides others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, R R Patil virtually gave Pawar the credit for the UPA government's Food Security Bill, though it was passed by the Congress.
