After evading police for over two years, a murder accused carrying a cash reward Rs 50,000 on his head was arrested in south west Delhi's Kapashera area, official said today.

The 30-year-old accused, identified as Raj Kishore alias Raju alias Kallu, was declared a proclaimed offender by the court for being on the run since 2013.

"Kishore was arrested on Thursday from Kapashera following a tip off. He was wanted in a murdre case of a youth person, who was brutally stabbed to death on January 10, 2013 and the body was crushed and disfigured with stones to hide its identity," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Rajiv Ranjan.

Kishore, who was a resident of Jalaun UP, carried a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for his arrest.

According to the police, Raj Kishore allegedly developed intimate relationship with a widow identified as Awadh. The woman was also reportedly having physical relationship with her neighbour Ramesh, which created tension in the 'love triangle.'

When Awadh started ignoring Raj Kishore, he hatched a conspiracy with his friends - Puspender and Chandan Singh - to eliminate Ramesh. The accused invited the victim for a drink and later murdered him.

"During the scuffle, accused Raj Kishore stabbed Ramesh in his stomach, due to which he fell on the ground and his friends Pushpender and Chandan Singh hit his face with heavy stones repeatedly so that his identity couldn't be established. They threw the body in a nearby drain and fled from the spot," he added.
