A controversy is brewing after TV channels aired purported footage of a Onam 'sadya' (feast) being held today allegedly in an operation theatre in the medical college hospital here, prompting the government to order a probe.
"We have ordered an inquiry into the incident to find out if it is true or not. College authorities have denied it," Kerala Health Minsiter V S Sivakumar said tonight.
The Health Secretary had been asked to conduct the probe, the minister told PTI.

However, College Principal, Dr Thomas Mathew, has denied it saying the 'sadya' was held in the canteen.
