Officers of cyber crime investigation cell of the police today arrested Manzil Jikesh Kumar Shah (27), who hails from Gujarat, for duping a job aspirant youth.

Police are also looking for his friend, Lincoin Joseph Luicien.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police S Varada Raju said that Shah and Luicien offered a job to Palepu Lakshmana Rao, native of Santhipuram area in Vizag who is an ITI certificate holder, in a non-existing Qatar-based company called Sea Drill Ltd UAE after conducting his interview online.

Later they asked him to deposit Rs 1.40 lakh in two bank accounts as security.

When Rao realised that there was no such company, he approached the police.

A police team led by inspector K Satyanarayana arrested Shah in Mumbai on July 22, while Luicien is still at large.

Police have sealed their bank accounts.

It is suspected that they may have cheated several job-aspirants across the country.
