Police today claimed to have solved the murder case of a 40-year-old property dealer with the arrest of one person.
Manzoor Ahmed, a resident of Loni area, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Dilip, whose body was found near a bus stand on January 26, a senior police official said.
Ahmed killed Dilip over some monetary issue, he said.
"There was some monetary issue between the two and both often used to fight over it. Mohseen then decided to hatch a plan to kill him. On January 26, he slit Dilip's throat and dumped his body near a bus stand in Loni area," he said.
Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap and arrested Ahmed, who confessed his involvement in the murder.
