A 23-year-old student, who allegedly sent vulgar messages to a man about his wife to ruin their marital life, was arrested here, police said today.
Bandlapalli Lokesh, while pursuing his degree course in 2011, came into contact with a woman who was also studying in the same college here. They moved closely for three years as friends and later Lokesh proposed her but she refused him, they said.
Subsequently, the woman married another person about a month back. On knowing this, Lokesh decided to take revenge against her, police said.
After obtaining her husband's cell phone number, Lokesh informed her husband and sent few SMSes about his "affair" with his wife and even shared her photos (previous pics as friends) to damage her marriage, police said.
Following a complaint, a team led by Cyber Crimes Inspector P Raju arrested Lokesh, a release from the city police said.
