The police said Birbal Chowdhury was arrested early this morning from his home after been tracked from the mobile phone call records of the truck driver who has been missing.
The vehicle started with the consignment of scrap iron on December 6 from Shalimar in Howrah district.
The body of the cleaner Raju was found lying on the side of a road at Debipur near Memari on December 8.
The owner of the lorry was located from the vehicle number and the mobile number of the driver was available from him, the police said.
