Army sources said that based on specific intelligence, a joint search operation was conducted yesterday.

During the operation, the forces came under heavy fire from militants to which they retaliated, neutralising one militant.

On searching the area, the ASAK militant's body was recovered along with one 7.65 mm pistol, some live rounds and few fired cases, the sources said.
