One boy drowns, two missing after bathing in river

A teenage boy drowned while two others were missing after they went to bathe in Budhi Gandak River at Ashram Ghat in Muzaffarpur district today.

According to the police, six children, all in the age group of 12 to 14 years, were bathing in the river when they started drowning.

The locals rushed to their help and managed to rescue three of them.

The body of one boy, Ashraf was recovered later on, while two others Asgar and Mirza are still missing.

The rescued children have been admitted to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital.

All the boys were from Chandwara locality of Muzaffarpur.
