A 32-year-old pedestrian was killed when a driver of a truck trailer lost his balance on the vehicle and it flipped on NH-24 near crossing republic in Vijay Nagar area here today, police said.
Ram Nath received serious injuries when the truck hit him, SHO Hari Dayal Singh Yadav said.
Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and rushed Nath to a government hospital where doctors declared him dead, he said.
The truck trailer has been seized and driver has been arrested.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, the officer added.
