A 24-year-old labourer was killed and one another person injured today when a fire broke out in a saddlery factory in Chamanganj here, police said.
The fire broke out at MS Export, a leather saddlery factory, in Premnagar area at around 11 AM today, SP (West) Harishchandra said.
Abdullah was burnt alive and Akeel, a contractor, was injured in the incident, he said, adding, the fire brigade rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire in an hour.
Akeel has been admitted to a hospital.
The reasons for the blaze have not been ascertained yet and factory owner Siraj Hussain is being questioned, the SP said.
