One person was detained today in connection with the rape and murder of a five-year-old girl here, the police said.
"One person has been detained and he is being interrogated," city superintendent of police Manoj Ratan told PTI here.
The girl's body was found in a under-construction building near her home at Darjie Mohallah in the city yesterday and post mortem report had confirmed that the girl was raped and strangulated to death.
