A 42-year-old man today died in the lockup of Radhakishorpur police station in Gomati district of Tripura.
DIG Uttam Majumder said one Nurul Islam was arrested last midnight from Udaipur town, the district headquarters of the Gomati district, in an inebriated condition.
He complained of chest pain in the morning at the police station, about 55 km from state capital, and was declared brought dead at Tripura Sundari district hospital in the town.
IG Anurag Dhyankar said a magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
