Officials said that Tumpa Mahali (25), a housewife and resident of ward-12 of Purulia town, died in the town today after suffering from gastro-enteritis.
People living in ward 12, ward 14, ward 16 and ward 19 of Purulia town have been suffering from diarrhoea for the past couple of days.
Most of the patients have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital at Purulia. Two persons were referred to Bokaro and two others were sent to Bankura medical college and hospital.
