Boy band One Direction thrilled a terminally ill teenage girl by staging a mini-gig for her.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' hitmakers teamed up last month with the Rays of Sunshine charity, which grants wishes of sick children, to surprise Hannah Booth last, who is battling bone cancer, reported Sun Online.

The 18-year-old, who was told last year the disease is terminal, was expecting the five members to just pose for a picture with her, but was left stunned when they performed several of their hit songs.

"I thought I was just going to get a few minutes with the boys to shake their hand and have a picture taken with them. This is beyond anything I could have dreamed of. To be just yards from them as they sang was just magical," Booth said.

The band has previously organised a day out in London for a group of sick children through the charity.
