The band, who were formed on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor', is comprised of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
They said that they would love to branch out into movies and have their sights set on putting their own twist on William Shakespeare's classic romantic tragedy, reported Sun online.
"Movies are something we would consider but it would have to be what we want. We would love to do 'Romeo and Juliet' as depicted by One Direction and we should play the parts. Niall would be Juliet," Styles said.
"I don't really mind playing Juliet, if I'm honest. I'd do whatever is good for the group. I'm there. We are all there for each other," Horan added.
